Producer Michael Wagner announces his retirement after a lengthy career with critically acclaimed bands.
On Facebook, he released a statement outlining his legacy in the music industry. Stating it’s time to “catch up on some vacations,” Wagner stated that he has sold the record company after 50 years.
Wagner’s most notable credits can be found on albums including Dokken’s earliest work after meeting the singer in Germany, presumably during the Scorpions Blackout sessions.
Other albums worth checking out are Accept’s early 80’s material, most of Skid Row’s discography and many others outside the rock genre.
He has also contributed to the Christian Metal genre significantly with Stryper and King X being among his roster.
“I want to thank you all for allowing me to live a great life and to do what I love. I am looking at a future of lots of traveling; it has been a great trip so far.”
