REST IN PEACE BERNIE TORME

Breaking news arrived this week as multiple sources confirm the passing of guitarist Bernie Torme.

Torme had a tremendous start by catching a spot in Ian Gillan’s solo band following his departure from Deep Purple. Playing on the outstanding albums such as Mr. Universe and Glory Road, Torme made his presence known with badass riffs on stand-out tracks like Unchain Your Brain and Running, White Face, City Boy.

He had also been involved with some notorious frontmen including Dee Snider of Twisted Sister and Phil Lewis from L.A. Guns.

After years of touring, Torme caught yet another break by landing the most iconic gig a guitar player could hope for. Filling the shoes of Randy Rhoads is no easy task, but Torme fit like a glove with his unique bluesy style dominating the stage setting.

Bernie Torme will be remembered as a distinctive musician in an era when everyone was trying to outshred each other with speed and noodling, Torme stood out among the countless number of men who wanted the most sacred opportunity in heavy metal history. All around an amazing guitar player who will be missed dearly.
