Long-running front man of AC\/DC<\/strong>, Brian Johnson<\/strong> has been\u00a0under examination after a doctor’s notice informed him that his hearing is\u00a0beginning to effect his stage performances.<\/p>\n

AC\/DC<\/strong> has been\u00a0undergoing their Rock Or Bust World Tour<\/em> and still has a string of scheduled dates in the balance at the moment.<\/p>\n

A few days after this incident was reported, comedian Jim Breuer<\/strong> weighed in on the subject by making his own\u00a0inferences on his podcast, “The Metal In Me.”\u00a0He stated that Johnson<\/strong> believed he was being “kicked to the curb” by AC\/DC<\/strong> after the band has remained quiet and unresponsive despite the unknown condition of their lifelong singer.<\/p>\n

However these allegations were perceived to be said by Johnson<\/strong> himself which was not the case. This resulted in Breuer<\/strong> posting clarification messages on\u00a0his\u00a0Facebook and releasing a video where he set the record straight. Breuer<\/strong>\u00a0then stated:<\/p>\n

“(Johnson<\/strong>)\u00a0said that he called and let (AC\/DC<\/b> and Angus\u00a0Young<\/strong>)\u00a0know, ‘Hey, this is what the doctor said, but let’s try to figure this out. I don’t think it’s as bad as he said it is.’ Literally the next day in the press, it was ‘Brian Johnson<\/strong>, tour canceled, he’s losing his hearing.'”<\/p>\n

Now that all the information has been made clear, it leaves an interesting question to ponder. Should AC\/DC<\/strong> continue without Johnson<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

It’s important to remember that Johnson<\/strong> has been fronting the band since their comeback success in 1980 with Back In Black<\/em>. He has since fronted AC\/DC<\/strong> across the world on various tours for 36 years. He’s also proven\u00a0to be the only person\u00a0eligible to\u00a0fulfill\u00a0the legacy of the late Bon Scott<\/strong> with great respect and approval.<\/p>\n

That being said, a replacement vocalist would be just as questionable as it would’ve been back in 1980.<\/p>\n

Many singers can pull off the AC\/DC<\/strong> catalog successfully, but will fans be open to a newcomer at this point in the tour?<\/p>\n

Another factor worth considering is the fact that Angus Young<\/strong> hasn’t had the pleasure of sharing the stage with his brother, Malcolm Young<\/strong> any longer since\u00a0his retirement. If he was able to carry on without a family member, perhaps he can play\u00a0without Johnson<\/strong> as well.<\/p>\n

Although, some fans have already realized this and figured that AC\/DC<\/strong>\u00a0should come to an end altogether if the band requires yet another lineup change. However, nothing has been confirmed or properly announced besides Johnson<\/strong>‘s hearing malfunctions.<\/p>\n

It’s a shame all of this news has come out so rapidly, effectively hurting the infamous status of AC\/DC<\/strong>, a band that seemed like an impenetrable powerhouse weeks prior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
